How to create a lake or pond
🔍 You can create a lake or pond by using the Room tool to draw a shape and applying a water texture to the floor. Since we don't have a dedicated water tool, this is the most effective way to add water features to your landscape.
🧠 Why use this method?
It allows you to create any shape, from a small garden pond to a large lake, using the standard construction tools already available in the app.
🛠 How to Create a Lake
Draw the shape
👉 Open the Construction menu and select Room.
👉 Draw the shape of your lake on your plan.
Hide the walls
👉 Select the walls of this new "room."
👉 Use the Hide toggle in the settings to make them invisible.
🪄 Now only the floor remains visible on the ground.
Add the water
👉 Click on the Floor.
👉 Open Textures and go to the Exterior category.
👉 Choose a water texture to apply it.
Clean up the look
👉 Select the floor and toggle Show Room Name and Show Area to Off.
📌 Pro Tip: Place rocks or plants around the edges to cover the straight lines and make the pond look more natural.

🛠 Troubleshooting
If the water looks blurry or too small
Adjust the Scale in the texture settings until the ripples look right.
If you can't click the floor
Switch to 2D view. It’s much easier to select the floor surface there than in 3D.
If the walls are still visible
Make sure you have selected every wall segment of the pond and toggled them to Hide.
⚠️ Known Limitations
The water is a static texture and does not move or animate.
You cannot submerge objects "underwater" as everything sits on a flat plane.
