Depending on the platform, you can use a predefined room shape or draw the room yourself.
Before You Start
Create each room separately rather than creating one large space and adding smaller rooms inside it. Placing separate rooms next to each other helps prevent layer conflicts later in your project.
Web
On Web, you can add a room using a predefined room shape or the drawing tool.
Add a predefined room
Open your project.
Go to Build Choose a predefined room shape or to choose a pencil drawing tool.
Add the room to your plan.
Position the new room next to the other rooms in your layout.
To change the room size, click on the wall you want to adjust. You have two options:
Enter the desired measurement in cm/in in the bottom menu.
You can also adjust the wall thickness from the same menu.
Select the wall and use your mouse to drag it to the desired length.
Draw a room
You can also use the Pencil tool to create or divide spaces.
Select the Pencil tool.
Place the first point.
Place the second point where you want to create the new wall.
Double-click the dot when placing the second point.
iOS
On iOS, you can add a room using a predefined shape or draw it yourself. Available predefined shapes include a square, rectangle, and rooms with multiple corners.
Add a predefined room
Open your project.
Choose the room shape you want.
Tap the shape to add it to your plan.
Resize the room by making it smaller or larger, or enter the wall length in cm/in.
Position the room next to the wall of another room.
Draw a room
Select the drawing tool.
Tap the plan to draw the first wall.
Continue drawing until you've created the room shape you need.
Tap twice where the new room should connect to an existing wall.
Once the room is ready, add doors and windows if needed before moving on to styling.
Android
On Android, you can choose from several predefined room shapes, including a square, rectangle, and rooms with multiple corners.
To add a room:
Open your project.
Choose the room shape you want.
Tap the shape to add it to your plan.
Resize the room by making it smaller or larger, or enter the wall length in cm/in.
Position the room next to the wall of another room.
Add doors and windows if needed before moving on to styling.
macOS
On macOS, you can add a room using a predefined shape or the drawing tool. Available predefined shapes include a square, rectangle, and rooms with multiple corners.
Add a predefined room
Open your project.
Choose the room shape you want.
Drag the room to your plan.
Resize the room by making it smaller or larger, or enter the wall length in cm/in.
Position the room next to the wall of another room.
Draw a room
Select the drawing tool.
Drag it onto the plan to draw the first wall.
Continue drawing until you've created the room shape you need.
Select Done to finish the room.
You can select a room name from the available default options. Custom room names aren't currently supported in the macOS app.
After adding the room, add doors and windows if needed before moving on to styling.
Windows
On Windows, you can use the Pencil tool or choose from several predefined room shapes:
Square Room
Rectangular Room
Room with Multiple Corners
Add a room
Open your project.
Choose the Pencil tool or one of the predefined room shapes.
Select the room shape you want and click to add it to your plan.
Resize and position the room
Click the room to select it.
Drag its corners or walls to resize it.
Position the room next to the wall of another room to create your layout.
Once the room is in place, add the necessary doors and windows before moving on to the interior design stage.
