How to use Family Sharing on iOS

Planner 5D supports Apple Family Sharing for eligible yearly iOS subscriptions. This allows family members connected through Apple Family Sharing to use the subscription across their own devices and accounts. Monthly subscriptions are not supported.

Before you start

Please make sure:

  • You are using the iOS version of Planner 5D

  • Your subscription is a yearly subscription

  • Apple Family Sharing is already configured on your Apple account

Monthly subscriptions are not compatible with Family Sharing.


How to enable Family Sharing on iOS

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top

  3. Select Family Sharing

  4. Follow Apple’s instructions to add family members

  5. Make sure subscription sharing is enabled


How family members can access the subscription

  1. Install Planner 5D from the App Store

  2. Log into their own Planner 5D account

  3. Open the app after joining the Apple Family Sharing group

The shared yearly subscription should become available automatically.


If Family Sharing is not working

Make sure:

  • The subscription is yearly, not monthly

  • All members are added to the same Apple Family Sharing group

  • Subscription sharing is enabled in Apple settings


If the subscription does not appear

Try:

  • Switching the User

  • Logging out and back into the App Store

  • Reopening Planner 5D


Known limitations

  • Family Sharing is available only for eligible iOS yearly subscriptions

  • Monthly subscriptions cannot be shared through Family Sharing

  • Apple manages Family Sharing settings and permissions
