How to use Copilot for projects on Web

Copilot can help you create a project from scratch or restyle and develop an existing design using written instructions. Copilot requires credits, which are purchased separately and used as Copilot works on your project.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you have enough Copilot credits available. Your current credit balance is displayed in the Copilot panel.

  • Copilot uses credits when completing design requests and making changes to your project.

  • Processing time can vary depending on the size of the project, the changes requested, and the complexity of your instructions.

  • More detailed projects or requests may take longer to process, so allow Copilot to finish before continuing with additional changes.

Open Copilot

  1. Open your project in the Planner 5D Editor.

  2. Click Copilot in the upper menu.

    1. The Copilot is closed by clicking on the same button

  3. The Copilot panel opens on the left side of the Editor.

  4. Enter your request in the Describe what you'd like to design field.

  5. Submit the request and wait while Copilot works on the project.

Create a project from scratch

You can use Copilot while building a completely new design.

  1. Open your Space.

  2. Go to Floor Plans.

  3. Select From Scratch to create a new project.

  4. Once the project opens, click Copilot.

  5. Describe what you want Copilot to create.

Be as specific as possible about your requirements. You can describe the room, style, colors, furniture, layout, or other design elements you want to include.

After Copilot finishes, review the result in both 2D and 3D views.

Restyle an existing project

Copilot can also work with a project that already contains rooms, furniture, and other design elements.

  1. Open the existing project.

  2. Click Copilot.

  3. Describe what you want to change.

  4. Include any elements you want to keep in your instructions.

  5. Submit the request.

  6. Wait for Copilot to process the project and apply the changes.

For example, you can ask Copilot to change the overall style, colors, furniture, finishes, or other parts of the design without starting a new project.

If you want to preserve the existing layout or specific objects, include that information in your request.

Continue working with Copilot

You do not need to complete the design with a single request. After Copilot finishes, review the result and enter another instruction if you want to continue refining it.

You can use follow-up requests to:

  • Change the design style.

  • Adjust colors or materials.

  • Replace or add furniture.

  • Refine individual parts of the room.

  • Make additional changes based on the generated result.

Each new Copilot action can use additional credits.

Review Copilot's changes

As Copilot works, the panel displays information about the design activity and the changes being made.

After processing, you can review:

  • A description of the changes Copilot made.

  • Design preview images.

  • Additional generated previews.

  • Compared items, when available.

Use these previews together with the project itself to review the result.

Review and edit the project manually

Copilot-generated projects remain editable in the Planner 5D Editor.

After Copilot finishes:

  1. Switch between 2D and 3D to review the project.

  2. Select individual objects if you want to adjust them manually.

  3. Use the regular Editor controls to refine furniture, dimensions, positioning, materials, and other available properties.

  4. Continue using Copilot whenever you want assistance with additional design changes.

Combining Copilot with manual editing gives you more control over the final result.

Once you're satisfied with the project, you can create a realistic render.

  1. Review the design in 3D.

  2. Click Render in the upper menu.

  3. Select Realistic render.

  4. Position the camera for the view you want to render.

  5. Choose an aspect ratio:

    • 16:9

    • 4:3

    • 1:1

  6. Select the available render quality and resolution.

  7. Use Save View if you want to keep the current camera position.

  8. Click Render.

While a render is being created, its status appears as Pending. Select View all renders to open your render collection and review generated renders.

Export the project

You can also access export options directly from the project menu.

  1. Click the project menu next to the project name.

  2. Select Export.

  3. Choose the available export option you want to use.

The same project menu also provides access to Project media, Share, Rename project, and Duplicate.

Share the finished project

When the design is ready, click Share in the upper-right corner of the Editor to access the project's sharing options.

You can continue returning to Copilot afterward if you want to make further design changes. Keep in mind that additional Copilot requests require credits and that processing time may vary based on the project and the requested changes.
