Before You Start
Copilot requires AI credits.
AI credits may be included with a paid subscription or purchased separately in a credit bundle. Free users can use Copilot after purchasing AI credits.
Your current AI credit balance is displayed in the Copilot panel.
When the request involves a supported project action, Copilot can also make changes directly in the Editor.
How to Open Copilot
Open a project in the Web Editor.
Click Copilot in the Editor toolbar.
The Copilot panel opens alongside your project.
Enter your request in the message field.
Submit the request.
Your project remains open and accessible while the Copilot panel is displayed.
Start working with Copilot
When you open Copilot for the first time in a project, or when there is no previous conversation history, the initial screen displays suggested starting actions.
You can:
Select one of the suggested actions.
Enter your own request in the message field.
After you submit a request, Copilot processes it and returns a response.
Write a request
Use the message field at the bottom of the Copilot panel to describe what you want Copilot to do.
You can use natural language to explain the change or task you want to complete.
The message composer includes:
Text input
File attachments
PDF files, documents, JPG images, PNG images, GIF images, WebP images. Once uploaded, the files can be used as references for subsequent requests in the conversation.
Working mode selection
Two modes are available:
Browser — Copilot works while the project tab remains open.
Supercomputer — Copilot can continue working even if you close the project tab.
AI model selection
Different models may vary in:
Processing speed
Credit consumption
How they handle different types of requests
Changing the model applies to your subsequent requests in that conversation.
Available models can include models from:
OpenAI:
GPT-6 Astra
GPT-6 Sol
GPT-6 Luna
GPT-5.6 Terra
Anthropic
Claude Opus 5.5
xAI
Grok 4.7
The available model list can change over time.
Voice input
Copilot also supports voice input.
Use the microphone control next to the send button to enter your request using your voice instead of typing it.
Start a live voice conversation
Choose reasoning level
Available levels can include:
Low
Medium
High
Extra high
Max
The selected reasoning level applies to subsequent requests in the conversation.
Send control
You cannot submit an empty request.
While Copilot is processing your request, the Send control changes to Stop, allowing you to stop the current request.
Chat actions
When a new conversation is started, a title is automatically generated and displayed in the panel header. If the title is too long, it will be truncated to fit the available space.
Clicking the conversation title opens a menu with the following options:
Rename Chat: Change the title of the conversation.
Duplicate Chat: Create an exact copy of the conversation, including its full chat history.
Delete Chat: Permanently delete the conversation. This action cannot be undone, and deleted conversations cannot be restored.
Continue working in the Editor
Opening Copilot does not replace the Planner 5D Editor.
While Copilot is open, you can continue viewing and interacting with your project. Standard Editor actions, such as selecting or rotating objects, remain available.
This lets you review Copilot's work and continue making manual changes without leaving the project.
Start a new conversation
After a Copilot conversation has started, a + action appears in the panel header.
Select it to start a new conversation without leaving the Editor.
Your previous conversation remains available in the conversation history.
View previous Copilot conversations
Use Conversation history in the Copilot panel to access previous conversations for the project.
From the history menu, you can:
Open a previous conversation
Rename a conversation
Delete a conversation
Deleting a conversation is permanent and cannot be undone.
What happens when you run out of credits?
You can continue editing the project manually when your AI credit balance reaches zero, and you cannot submit additional Copilot requests.
Copilot displays Buy credits & continue, which opens the credit purchase options.
Running out of Copilot credits does not prevent you from using the Planner 5D Editor.
Buy additional AI credits
If you need more credits:
Select Buy credits & continue.
Review the available credit bundles.
Choose the bundle you want to purchase.
Once credits are available again, you can continue using Copilot.
Refresh your credit balance
If Copilot cannot retrieve your current credit balance, the panel displays Refresh credits.
Select Refresh credits to try loading the balance again without leaving Copilot.
Retry a failed request
If a Copilot request fails, a Retry action can appear in the panel.
Before retrying, check your project first. Some project changes may already have been applied before the request failed.
Once you have reviewed the project:
Resolve the issue that prevented the request from completing, if needed.
Click Retry.
Allow Copilot to process the request again.
Keep refining your project
You can continue sending follow-up requests in the same conversation as you work on the project.
Copilot and the Editor remain connected to the same project, allowing you to alternate between AI-assisted changes and manual editing as you refine your design.
