Use Swap Material to replace materials or textures in an image while preserving the overall scene structure and lighting. You can use it to update flooring, countertops, wall finishes, and furniture materials.
Swap materials in an image
Open an AI Studio canvas.
Select an image.
Click Swap Material.
Enter a description of the material or texture you want to apply, or upload a texture file.
Select the number of variations to generate:
1 image
2 images
4 images
8 images
Optionally add additional instructions to make the result more specific.
If you want to replace material only in a specific part of the image, use one of the drawing tools to select the area.
Click Generate Material.
Remove a selection
If you want to change the selected area, clear the current selection and create a new one.
View generation progress
After you start the generation:
A progress indicator is displayed while the image is being generated.
You can select the generation to view its progress.
The generated images appear below the original image when the process is complete.
