How to create a New Project

Planner 5D offers multiple ways to create a new project, whether you want to start from scratch, use a template, upload an existing floor plan, or generate a project with AI. The available options may vary depending on the platform you're using.

Project Creation Options

Depending on your platform and subscription, you may see one or more of the following options when creating a project.

Option

Description

Start from scratch

Start with a blank project and design your floor plan from scratch.

Template

Choose from a collection of ready-made floor plans and customize them to suit your needs.

Upload a Plan

Upload an existing floor plan or blueprint. Planner 5D will analyze the image and generate an editable floor plan that you can continue designing.

Home Scan

Record your space using your mobile device and let AI generate a floor plan based on the captured video. Home Scan availability depends on your device and subscription.

After Creating a Project

Once your project is created, you can:

  • Draw or edit rooms and walls.

  • Add furniture, decorations, and structural elements.

  • Customize colors, materials, and textures.

  • Create additional floors.

  • Generate renders and walkthroughs (depending on your subscription).

  • Access your projects across supported devices by signing in with the same Planner 5D account.

Saving Projects

Projects are automatically synchronized when you're signed in and connected to the internet. If you're using multiple devices, sign in with the same Planner 5D account to access your projects everywhere.

Important: Do not keep the same project open on two different devices at the same time. Doing so may cause synchronization conflicts, resulting in one version of the project overwriting the other. If this happens, the overwritten version cannot be restored.

If you need to open the project on a different device, first close the project on the original device. Wait a few moments to allow your changes to sync, then open the project on the other device. This helps prevent synchronization conflicts and ensures your latest changes are saved.
