How recognition credits work
Credits are added to your account when you purchase a video recognition.
Credits are deducted when you create a recognition task.
If a recognition task fails before processing begins, the deducted credits are automatically refunded to your account.
If you have fewer than 3 credits, selecting Full Interior Scan or Scan & Design will open the purchase window..
Recognition credits
Home Scanner uses recognition credits for each scan.
Recognition type | Credits required |
Basic Interior Scan | 1 |
Full Interior Scan | 3 |
Before you scan
Ensure the space is well lit.
Turn on all available lights and opening any curtains or blinds.
Plan your route in advance.
You'll need to complete a single, uninterrupted scan of the entire property, including all floors and any detached structures, such as garages or porches.
Make sure all doors are open before you begin.
Avoid opening or closing them during the scan.
Verify that Planner 5D has permission to access your device's camera.
Videos shorter than 10 seconds or longer than 12 minutes cannot be processed.
How to Scan Effectively
Keep the camera pointed straight ahead and slightly downward while walking to capture both the walls and the floor.
Stay approximately 1.5 to 2 meters away from walls and furniture, and avoid exceeding 4 meters, as greater distances reduce scan accuracy.
Instead of standing in the center of a room and turning in place, move side to side to capture the entire space.
In narrow areas, slowly back out instead of turning around. If the space is very tight, try scanning from just outside the doorway.
Additional tips
If something isn't clearly captured during the scan, it won't appear in the final project.
Avoid pointing the camera directly at the floor or ceiling unless you need to capture specific elements located there.
Move slowly when scanning kitchens to improve detail and overall scan quality.
Keep the Planner 5D app open throughout the scan. Closing the app will cause the scan to fail.
The maximum recording length is 12 minutes. If this limit is exceeded, the scan will fail.
Videos shorter than 10 seconds will not be submitted
After you finish recording, you'll see a Scan preview before submitting your video.
