Transferring Objects Between Projects
Transferring Objects Between Projects
Updated over a week ago

If you're using the Planner 5D app on your iOS device and want to move objects from one project to another, there are two methods you can use. The best method depends on whether you want to duplicate the entire project or just transfer a single object.

Option 1: Duplicating an Entire Project

This method is ideal if you want to create multiple versions of the same design in different projects. Here's how to do it:

  1. Launch the Planner 5D app on your iOS device.

  2. Navigate to the 'My projects' section, located at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Find the project you want to duplicate in your list of projects.

  4. Long tap on the project thumbnail to access the quick menu.

  5. Select the 'Duplicate' option to create a copy of the project. The duplicated project will instantly appear in your list of projects.

Option 2: Copying a Single Object (Web Platform Only)

This method is suitable for moving a single object to another project, but it's only available on the web platform. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the project containing the object you want to copy.

  2. In a separate browser tab or window, open the project you want to transfer the object to.

  3. Click on the object you want to copy to select it.

  4. Use your keyboard's copy command (ctrl+C for Windows, cmd+C for macOS) to copy the object.

  5. Switch to the tab or window with the second project.

  6. Use your keyboard's paste command (ctrl+V for Windows, cmd+V for macOS) to paste the copied object into the new project.

That's all you need to do! Now you can move objects between projects with ease. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.
