Before You Start
Before applying for an Education license, create a Planner 5D account using your work email address.
For more information about Education licenses and the accreditation process, see Program for Schools and Universities.
Once your request has been processed, the allocated licenses become available under Profile → Education.
How to view your Education licenses
Open Profile → Education to manage the licenses assigned to your account.
From this section, you can:
View the expiration date of your current Education license.
Check how many licenses are available.
Provide students with promo codes.
Revoke licenses from students.
Monitor the number of active licenses.
The total number of active licenses cannot exceed the number allocated to your account.
How to Reuse and reassign licenses
Education licenses are reusable and you do not need to contact Support to reassign a license. License management is available directly under Profile → Education.
You can grant and revoke licenses without a limit on the number of reassignments, as long as the number of active licenses does not exceed the total allocated to your account.
Education licenses provide students with access to the full catalog for 365 days after account activation.
When students finish their courses, their licenses can be revoked and reassigned to new students. This allows the same license allocation to be used across different semesters or academic years.
How to Give a license to a student
Open Profile → Education.
Copy the available promo code.
Share the code with the student.
The student must create a Planner 5D account.
The student opens Profile → Account.
The student enters and submits the promo code.
After the code is submitted, the student receives access to the full Planner 5D catalog.
As long as the teacher has access to the Planner 5D subscription, the students using the assigned Education licenses will also have access.
How to Revoke a student's license
You can revoke a license directly from Profile → Education, for example when a student leaves the class or when you need to assign the license to a new group.
Open Profile → Education.
Find the student whose access you want to revoke.
Revoke the assigned license.
If a teacher revokes a student's access, that student will no longer be able to log in to that Planner 5D account.
The student can create a new account using a personal email address and continue using Planner 5D for personal purposes.
How can I view students' projects?
Students can share their projects with you using a project link.
Ask the student to share the project link with you.
Open the link in your browser.
Review the student's project.
This allows you to view the project directly without copying it to your account.
How can students copy a project from a teacher?
Teachers can share a project with students using a project link. Students can open the shared project and copy it to their own Planner 5D account.
The teacher shares the project link with the student.
The student opens the shared link.
The student copies the project to their own account.
The copied project can then be edited and personalized independently.
