What is Scan & Design?
Scan & Design starts with a Home Scanner video of your space and this feature is available on iOS only.
After submitting your scan, you can choose which rooms you want designed, select your preferred styles, and describe your design idea in more detail.
The Planner 5D design team then uses your scan and preferences to create a personalized interior design concept for your space.
What information can I provide?
When preparing your Scan & Design request, you can specify:
Rooms to design
Design style
Describe your design idea in more details; such as:
The rooms you want designed
Up to 3 preferred styles
Who will use the space
Your furniture preferences
Materials you would like to use
Specific design requirements
Any additional details that could help the designer understand your idea
What will I receive?
When the request is complete, you receive:
A scanned floor plan of your space
A personalized interior design concept created by the design team
Additional scan deliverables (such as 2D/3D Floor Plan PDF, CAD Files, Home Report)
Additional deliverables can be purchased separately.
Credits
Scan & Design requires 3 credits per project.
If you don't have enough credits when selecting Scan & Design, you'll be prompted to purchase additional credits before continuing.
How to use Scan & Design
Open Home Scanner
You can start Home Scanner from:
Dashboard → Scan
Dashboard → Create → Home Scanner
Dashboard → Home Scanner → New Scan
Floor Plans → Create → Home Scanner
Scan your space
Open Home Scanner.
Record a video scan of your home.
Tap Continue to submit the video.
On Choose Your Design Plan, select Scan & design.
Continue to the next step.
If you do not have enough credits, complete the required purchase before continuing.
Select the rooms to design
On Select rooms to design, choose the rooms you want included.
Select one or more rooms.
Tap Continue.
Available room options can include:
Kitchen
Bedroom
Bathroom
Office
Living room
Children's room
Choose your preferred styles
On Choose a style, review the available design styles.
Select up to 3 styles.
Tap Continue.
Your selected styles are used by the designer when preparing the interior design.
Describe your design idea
Use Describe your design idea to provide additional information about what you want.
You can include:
Who will use the space
Your preferred furniture
Materials you want included
Specific design requirements
Other details that could help explain your preferences
Tap Continue when you're ready to submit the request.
Wait for your design
After the request is submitted, your scan is processed and the design request is passed to the design team.
When processing is complete, you will have:
Your original scan project
A separate personalized design project
You can then open the completed projects and review the results
