Clearing Cache in Google Play
Updated over 2 years ago

If you have faced any issues with downloading, restoring or updating our app from Google Play, you should consider clearing cache and data in Google Play.

Why would you do that?

Clearing cache and data helps you reduce the amount of space used by apps on your phone or tablet. That can happen because some apps do not utilise cache efficiently. Sometimes app's cached data can prevent you from receiving timely updates or cause the app to slow down.

For Android 6.0 and Higher Devices:

  1. From a Home screen navigate to Apps > Settings > Apps.
    If unavailable, navigate: Apps > Settings > (Applications) Application manager.
    For Oreo OS, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > Apps & Notifications > App info.

  2. Tap Google Play Store.

  3. Tap Storage.

  4. Tap Clear Cache, then tap Clear Data.

  5. Tap OK.

Android 5.1 and Lower Devices

  1. From a Home screen navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Tap one of the following:
    Option varies depending upon the device.
    - Apps;
    - Applications;
    - Application manager;
    - App manager.

  3. Tap Google Play Store.

  4. Tap Clear Cache, then tap Clear Data.
