How to set camera view to eye level? (Web)

Set the camera to an eye-level (first-person) view in 3D on the Web editor using your mouse controls or WASD keyboard navigation.

If you’d like a more real-life perspective in Planner 5D (eye-level or seated view), you can achieve it in 3D by moving the camera closer to the floor and navigating through the space like in a first-person view.

Mouse controls:

  1. Switch to 3D view.

  2. Zoom in using the mouse wheel until the camera drops closer to eye level.

  3. Right-click + drag to move left/right (and reposition your viewpoint).

  4. Left-click + drag to rotate the view and look around.

Keyboard controls:

You can also navigate like in many 3D games:

  • Use W / A / S / D to move around the space (forward / left / back / right).

  • Combine this with the mouse controls above to rotate and fine-tune your viewing angle.

Tips:

  • Zoom in a bit more than usual, then make small movements with W/A/S/D to position the camera where a person would naturally stand or sit.

  • If movement feels too fast, try shorter taps on the keys and smaller mouse drags.
