How to rotate camera in 3D (Web)

You can easily rotate or move your camera to view any object from a specific angle or side. 💫

Center the item in the view

Make sure the object is roughly in front of you.


📍Controls & Shortcuts

Rotate camera

Hold right mouse button and drag

Move view

➡ Hold left mouse button and drag
or use W / A / S / D keys

Zoom

➡ Scroll mouse wheel

Raise / Lower camera

Press + or -


Move and Rotate Your View

Right Mouse Button

  • Hold the right mouse button and drag
    → moves your view up, down, and also helps rotate the camera around the object.

Left Mouse Button – move side to side / in & out

  • Hold the left mouse button and drag
    → moves your view left, right, closer, or further away from the object.

You can also move the camera using the keyboard:

  • W – move forward (closer)

  • S – move backward (further away)

  • A – move left

  • D – move right


Rotate the Camera Toward the Item

Once the object is centered:

  • Hold the left mouse button and drag
    → this rotates the camera.

  • Drag left/right to turn around the item.

  • Drag up/down to tilt above or below it.

This allows you to look at the object from any specific side.


Adjust Distance and Height

To fine-tune your view:

Zoom

  • Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.

Camera Height

  • Press “+” to raise the camera.

  • Press “-” to lower the camera.

Use this to look from eye level, top-down, or lower angles.Example: How to View an Object From the Right Side

  1. Move your view until the object is in the center (right-click drag or WASD).

  2. Rotate your camera (left-click drag) until you face its right side.

  3. Zoom in for a closer look.

  4. Adjust camera height with + or – if needed.
