Use Inpaint to make advanced changes to selected areas of an image.
Inpaint gives you more control than Edit, including options for reference images, image size, quality, model selection, and AI assistance.
Use Inpaint
Open an AI Studio canvas.
Select an image.
Click Inpaint.
Select the area you want to modify using Mask or Optional mask.
Optionally:
Select a different image to use as the reference image.
Add additional reference images from your device.
Remove the current reference image using Delete (x).
Enter instructions in the text prompt field.
Choose the generation settings:
AI model
Number of images (1, 2, 4, or 8)
Image resolution (1K, 2K, or 4K)
Image quality (Low, Medium, or High)
AI assistance (On or Off)
Click Inpaint to start the task.
Result
AI Studio generates one or more edited versions of the image based on the selected area and your instructions.
