What is the grid scale? (macOS)

On the macOS platform, the grid is designed to make planning dimensions feel straightforward while working in 2D.

It helps you quickly estimate lengths, spacing, and room sizes as you build.

Grid scale on macOS

  • 1 large grid square = 1 m

  • 1 small grid square = 0.25 m (25 cm)

How to use the grid (quick examples)

  • Want 3 m? Count 3 large squares.

  • Want 75 cm? That’s 3 small squares (3 × 25 cm).

Tip: Use large squares for rough layout planning, then small squares for fine adjustments.
